A Visit to Davenport

While we were at the cabin, we took a trip to Davenport to see my niece and nephew, Jonnie and Katie. We haven't seen them in at least 3 years. Brendan and Chelsie bought a really cool log cabin in Davenport. They have chickens, bunnies, 2 dogs, and are looking into goats, pigs, and a horse. We had a good laugh because Brendan said he is going to eat them all.

Speaking of eating, Brendan made us an AWESOME dinner. Chicken, mashed potatoes, and stir fried squash. It was great. Even the kids ate the squash...hmmm, that may have been Brendan's rule. No more chicken unless you eat the veggies. It totally worked!

My niece is 11 now and she is as tall as I am! Can you stand it? She is 5'4.5". I think that is 1/2 inch taller than me, acutally! She is super pretty! Jonnie is sporting a mowhawk! He can make a mohawk look GOOD! It was really great seeing them and am looking forward to the next visit. Although, Davenport is about 5 hours from us...it is a haul for a weekend trip.
