Been a while, but how funny is this???

Updated Spelling Bee...

Evan came in 9th out of 30 kids...ranging from 4th through the 8th grade. Not too shabby.

Synonym got him. The irony of that word is that Aodhan had been helping him "study" by randomly picking out words in the dictionary. Just that morning, he had him practice synonym...he got it wrong with Aodhan, too. lol.

I wasn't able to go watch him because I was sick with a stomach thing (it's going around and has hit just about everyone in the house. Aodhan is spared as of right now). Shaune and I were texting back and forth as he had his turn so I was getting play by play updates. When he spelled synonym wrong, he got to sit with Shaune and I texted him to tell him what a great job he did and making it that far was totally awesome, yada, yada....he is a kid with a lot to say and simply texted back "thanks." He is a turkey!

Woohoo Evan!!

We got a letter home from the school today. Evan was selected to compete in the Middletown Spelling Bee. He is one of 6 5th graders that competed at the grade level. He tied for second place...woohoo! I'm super proud of him and he is SUPER nervous.

I'll keep ya posted on how he does on Tuesday!

I'm pretty sick of the weather...

Anyone else? I really don't have much of an update because all we do is go to work, come home, and do the same thing over again. I have major cabin fever and it is driving me crazy sitting in this house!

Soccer started up again (like it ever ends!) The boys are playing on Thursday and Sunday at the hut and have practice on Saturdays for Spring Competitive. Kealan is taking swim lessons again. It is a FANTASTIC program. There are only 2 other kids in her class and she gets a LOT of one on one attention. She really wants to join the swim team this fall, and if she keeps it up, she is well on her way.

Just the newest wool skirt I made...cute, heh? I want to make another one, but seriously...I am having trouble justifying it. Teagan is potty trained, so making a wool soaker for cloth diapers just seems silly.

We had a wonderful close to school vacation at Chrissy's house. We went up to get away from the nonstop cleaning, cooking, etc. that we were doing and stayed the night. The next day, Mike's friend came over and drilled the ice all over to see how thick it was! It was a lot of fun!
